I wasn’t sure if I would like the second book in the series as much as the first, but I definitely did! It was so wonderful to continue the journey of Lila and Lenu, along with the cast of characters that move in and out of their lives. This second book takes us briefly to Pisa and Milan, but the real star of the book is still the gritty dangerous, atmospheric neighborhood the girls grew up in Naples. This book kept me turning the pages as it covered marriage, college, babies, domestic violence, betrayal, lost dreams and dreams realized. Starting the third one next. I’m hooked!
