Wow! Such a powerful and important book. I think this is one of those stories that will stick with me for a long time. The writing is exquisite. And so is the character development. I fell in love with Elwood. And to think that this is all based on a true story. Makes my heart hurt. My hope is that our society can learn from these tragic lessons of the past. We owe that and so much more to the Nickel Boys.
