by Matt Haig
This book is so clever, creative, unique, and gripping. I listened to it on audio and loved that Carey Mulligan is the narrator. I was completely immersed in Nora‘s story, and found the book fast-paced and riveting.
I love books with quantum physics, time travel, or alternate realities. The concept of this book is that there is a place between life and death where you can essentially try on other lives based on making a different decision at some point in your life. I loved the interconnected nature of all of the different stories and how the author weaved characters, regrets, decisions, and narratives together, showing us glimpses into different realities. Fascinating!
Some people have compared this to a modern retelling of It’s A Wonderful Life. I can see the comparison, but to me this felt more sophisticated, contemporary, and philosophical. Really enjoyed it!
