A lovely exquisitely written novel about love, loss, grief, awakenings, and most of all, living. It felt like a fable at times, and yet, very real.
The parts that took place in Paris had a wonderful descriptive quality to them where you felt like you were there. What characters! You know those Parisian characters that almost feel like they are plucked from a cartoon? And the parts that took place in the South of France evoked lavender, sunsets, and the languid relaxed lifestyle. The love story at the heart is beautiful, heartbreaking and memorable.
What an enjoyable novel!!
