by Tara Conklin
Such a good family drama. Tara Conklin is a wonderful writer and she weaves this story expertly through many years, covering the family’s heartaches and joys.
I love that the central theme in this book is sibling love, which isn’t always emphasized in fiction. I also really liked that the protagonist is a poet. That added such a nice element to the book as the reader was sometimes privy to the inner workings of her poetry. That made some of the language almost feel… well, poetic. Beautiful.
