Wow this book was so much more than I expected. I know that Jennifer Weiner is often called the queen of the beach read, but I find her books have so much more depth than that term conveys. I thought this book was about two adult women who become friends and how they navigate their lives and friendship. That is merely scratching the surface! This book is a mash up of women’s fiction, coming-of-age, Me Too movement, vengeance and forgiveness rolled into one. I wouldn’t call it mystery exactly, but there were so many interesting twists and turns. I enjoyed the plot line, deep character development, and subject matter. Weiner has done it again! I’m such a fan.
