I loved this book. And I knew I would because it has so many topics I adore: coming of age, mother-daughter relationship, new budding romance, fish out of water, and Italy, Italy, Italy! I’ve been meaning to read it for years and when I saw that they made it into a movie, I decided it was time to read the book. I was not disappointed. It was sweet, funny, endearing, and satisfying. I watched the movie after and it was good, but nowhere near as good as the book. But I almost always feel that way about film/TV adaptations of books. But in this case, still worth watching. I’m looking forward to reading the sequels in this series!
