Wow wow wow! I knew I would really like this book. But I had no idea how deeply it would move me. It is deep, raw, emotional, beautiful, heartfelt, and so authentic. I loved it. I think Dani Shapiro is now one of my favorite living authors. Her writing is so poetic, melodic, beautiful, and creative. And what a story! It’s a coming-of-age story for someone in her 50s who finally figures out who she really is. Fascinating content told in a beautiful way. I want to get my hands on so many of her other books now. This is only my second one and I can’t get enough of her writing.
