Guncle

I absolutely adore this book. I think it’s my favorite book of the year! Guncle stands for Gay Uncle, and he is also known as Gup — Gay Uncle Patrick. When tragedy strikes, he becomes the caretaker for his niece and nephew for a summer, and it changes all their lives. It is funny as all hell, heartwarming, charming, witty, fast paced, sweet, snarky, authentic and beautiful. I was completely immersed in the characters and their lives. For those that love audiobooks, it’s such a treat, because the author narrates this one himself! I can already see this being a movie, and have cast it with actors of my choosing! I am looking forward to getting my hands on other books by the author. This one was very special. I may have to read it again at some point. I am going through Guncle withdrawal already!
