by Katie Couric
Wow! I enjoyed this memoir so much more than I expected. I’ve always liked Katie Couric, but I really didn’t know much about her personal life and I didn’t follow her career very closely. What a fascinating memoir about what it was like to break through glass ceilings as a female journalist. The book chronologically follows her life and career, giving you insight into her education, family, marriage, grief and loss, career moves, etc. And along the way, you get to relive historic highlights from an inside journalistic perspective, which was such an extra bonus that I wasn’t expecting and was one of my favorite parts of the book. I listened to the audiobook and she reads it herself, which made it feel even more intimate and special.
