Another wonderful historical fiction novel by Natalie Jenner. I loved her first book, The Jane Austen Society. This sequel features some of the characters from her first book and picks up where that book ends. It takes place in 1950s London, and there are three main female characters all working at a bookstore called Bloomsbury Books. There is a long list of secondary characters also. Just like her first book, all the characters are interesting, complex, and well-written, and a bit quirky. The plot is great! It deals with the inner workings of the bookstore, how each character is tied to it, and how this group of women band together to support each other personally and professionally.
If you love historical fiction, literature, and strong female characters, I recommend this book!
