This book was really great! It’s a family drama, but what makes it unique is it’s about two families, and how they intersect and interact with each other over a lifetime. They endure heartache, tragedy, love, illness, betrayal, risk, and luck. It is told in a third-person omniscient point of view (some may say third-person close, but I felt like it was a little more omniscient), with multiple characters from the two families serving as narrator depending on the scene. I really enjoyed the fact that it took a wide lens and showed you the incidents that they were experiencing from different angles, over the course of decades. Well done!
