What a fabulous book!! It is so up my alley. I’m a huge animal lover and proficient in American Sign Language. And this book features bonobos (a type of ape found in the Congo) who use ASL to communicate. I loved the story line with all of its twists and turns. The main characters are extremely likable, and some of the minor characters are quite interesting to say the least! This is my second book by this author, and I love the way she weaves in really fascinating factual information in a way that feels totally relevant to the story. She obviously does a lot of research about her subject matter. And it pays off! But thankfully she’s also a master storyteller and really good with character development. Love the result!
