It takes a lot of positive thinking and proactive productivity these days to stay on top of all of your responsibilities for your family, work, life, and your writing, in addition to navigating this strange situation we all find ourselves in.

One thing that can absolutely help you navigate all of this better is a Growth Mindset! We are all a combination of the Fixed Mindset and Growth Mindset in action. Of course, the one that serves us better is the growth one, which allows us to embrace change more easily, reframe setbacks, learn from lessons, and stay open and positive to growth. This type of Growth Mindset helps us in our professional lives of course, and also on a personal basis.

That’s why I’m thrilled to announce my UC Davis course, The Growth Mindset, available on the amazing Coursera platform. I spent months partnering with the university to put together an interactive virtual learning experience with practical takeaways. The course covers the differences between the growth and fixed mindsets, how to foster a growth mindset in your personal and professional lives, how to recognize and overcome limiting beliefs, the perfectionist and comparison trap syndromes, reframing setbacks and failures, how to give and receive feedback, and much more. There are short videos, exercises, quizzes, and discussion prompts. Check out the syllabus for the course here, and watch the welcome video, https://www.coursera.org/learn/growth-mindset

This pandemic and the challenges it presents aren’t easy. But we can arm ourselves with a Growth Mindset and all that comes along with it to give us an added boost in handling those challenges. And then we can take those fully exercised Growth Mindset muscles with us into the post-pandemic new normal and be even better equipped for the future.
