Many of you may know that I am a native New Yorker! I now live in beautiful Northern California, but I go back to NY every year to see friends and family, and for speaking engagements and events. My novel, Everything We Thought Was True, is dual timeline and takes place in New York in the past story, and in California in the contemporary story. There are two towns featured in the past story—New Rochelle, where my extended family settled after they emigrated from Italy and I was born, and Harrison (fictionalized as the town of Johnston) where I grew up.
On Saturday, May 3, I will experience a full circle moment as the Harrison Public Library, my hometown, will be hosting me for an Author Event from 3:30-5 PM. I’ll be discussing my novel with writer friend Christine Adler, former president of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association and my mentor as I started writing this novel many years ago (so, another full circle moment!). Copies of my novel will be available for purchase at the book signing following the program. The program is free and open to the public. Registration is recommended.
And great news… the novel is now part of the library’s circulation and available to borrow!
Stay tuned as there will be a gathering before the event begins at a local cafe or coffee shop for folks who want to stop by and say hi and mingle, and an after-party at a local bar or restaurant for folks who want to extend their opportunity to chat and socialize! As soon as I finale details of where and when, I’ll let you know.
Hope you can join me!
